Professional Background

Daniela is a pioneer in the legislative and regulatory aspects of the oil and gas sector in Brazil. Starting her career in the same year as the publication of the Petroleum Law in 1997, Daniela, representing Petrobras, played a remarkable role in structuring first-of-a-kind project finance for the development of oil and natural gas fields in Brazil, which would later become the benchmark for this type of transaction in the country.

In the E&P (Exploration & Production) sector, Daniela advises several clients in the acquisition of offshore and onshore O&G assets in Brazil. She is currently involved in several acquisitions involving Petrobras’ Divestment Program, ranging from acquisitions of mature fields to natural gas transportation pipelines.

She advises oil and gas companies with interests in concession contracts and production sharing on administrative/regulatory issues with the Brazilian National Petroleum Agency (ANP), having advised companies since the “Round Zero” of the ANP.

Daniela is also recognized for her pioneering practice in the offshore industry, having as clients several companies from the first supply chain (owners of rigs and platforms/FPSOs). Added to this is her experience in chartering contracts and operating FRSUs and LNG-to-Power projects.
