The French Desk provides personalized legal advice to companies and investors from French speaking countries, adapted to their cultural values, focusing on the concerns and commercial goals conducting their business in Brazil.
It is headed by Bernardo Mendes Vianna, partner in the Maritime Law and Commercial Dispute Resolution practices, Celso Contin, partner in the Banking & Finance and Infrastructure & Projects practices, Pedro Hermeto, consultant in the practice of Dispute Resolution, and Lucas Hermeto, associate in the practices of Dispute Resolution and Arbitration, all fluent in French.
The French Desk is comprised by a group of attorneys specialized in a diverse range of practices, especially in corporate, contractual, tax, regulatory and litigation matters, representing several large-sized French companies.
Bernardo Mendes Vianna has been an active member of the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFB), since 2006, where he served as an Advisor Member from 2014 to 2016, being reelected for the period 2018/2020. He is currently the Coordinator of the Legal Committee before CCIFB and participates as mediator in commercial disputes, certified by the Paris Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CMAP). Pedro Hermeto has a Master's degree in Commercial Law from the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas). Pedro also boasts a certification from the Paris Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CMAP).
