The French Desk provides personalized legal advice to companies and investors from French speaking countries, adapted to their cultural values, focusing on the concerns and commercial goals conducting their business in Brazil.
It is headed by partner Bernardo Mendes Vianna, from the Maritime Law practice, along with partner Celso Contin, from Banking & Finance, partner Bruna Luppi, from Tax, and partners Pedro Hermeto and Lucas Hermeto, both from the Dispute Resolution practice.
The French Desk is comprised by a group of attorneys fluent in French and specialized in a diverse range of practices, especially in corporate, contractual, tax, regulatory and litigation matters, representing several large-sized French companies. The Firm actively participates in the business environment of the French-speaking community in Brazil, supporting events and fostering integration between the countries.
Partner Bernardo Mendes Vianna has been an active member of the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFB) since 2006. He served as an Advisor Member from 2014 to 2016, being reelected for 2018/2020. He is currently the Coordinator of the Legal Committee before CCIFB and participates as a mediator in commercial disputes, certified by the Paris Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CMAP).
Partner Pedro Hermeto has a Master's degree in Commercial Law from the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) and boasts a certification from the Center de Médiation et d'Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP).
Partner Lucas Hermeto is specialized in Corporate Mediation by the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce Mediation Center, in association with the Center de Médiation et d'Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP) and in French and European Law from Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
