Thiago Luiz Silva, from the Energy & Natural Resources: Oil and Gas team, commented to BNamericas on the lobbying efforts in Congress related to the Brazilian energy sector, with a special focus on the bill aimed at enabling, through PPSA, the expansion of gas pipelines in the country. “There is lobbying in the Chamber of Deputies to direct PPSA to facilitate, either directly or indirectly, the expansion of transport gas pipelines to all state capitals, creating the so-called ‘universalisation of natural gas,’” Thiago pointed out.
