Partner Paula Padilha, from the Energy & Natural Resources: Power and Infrastructure area, speaks to BNamericas about the new ordinance from Brazil’s mines and energy ministry (MME), which sets the rules for the backup capacity electric power tender scheduled for June.
Among other points, Paula highlights that the main innovation is the possibility for existing thermal power plants to participate, “which could be a faster and more efficient solution, leveraging existing infrastructure” she states.
