"BNDES AZUL" fulfils the Government's Promise to Strengthen the Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Research in Brazil
Yesterday, on January 24th, the BNDES AZUL Project was unveiled. Through this initiative, the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) announced that approximately R$22 billion will be allocated to docking projects, support vessels, shipyards, oil tankers, as well as measures in the areas of maritime transport, ports, terminals, vessels, and mangrove recovery.
In this context, there are also plans to develop the Marine Spatial Project (MSP) in the marine region of southern Brazil. The objective is to provide the necessary subsidies for formulating public policies focusing on environmental, economic, and social objectives.
The MSP is a project led by the United Nations and recognized by all its member countries, featuring an action plan for marine and coastal conservation in line with public policies for sustainable development.
BNDES AZUL presents agendas for promoting port infrastructure with solid guidelines for developing policies for the conservation of biodiversity and the sustainable use of resources.
The Maritime team is available in case of doubts.
